The TRX500 Foreman ES EPS strikes the perfect balance between work and play. The high torque 475 cc engine will dig deep to pull a heavy load on the job site or churn through axle-deep mud on the trails. The OHV, semi-dry sump engine design with its super-low centre of gravity helps keep things stable when carrying that heavy load or negotiating hilly terrain while looking for the perfect campsite. Manoeuvring under load or in tricky terrain is also made easier by power steering that not only reduces steering effort, but also virtually eliminates kick-back from the wheels. For its part, the unique electric shift five-speed transmission seems perfectly suited to the TRX500 Foreman ES EPS's dual personality offering the efficiency and durability of a gear-on-gear manual transmission, but with smooth seamless shifting just the touch of a button away. Matched perfectly with the sophisticated transmission is an equally advanced 4WD system that offers three different options for maximum versatility; 2WD, 4WD with torque-sensing front diff or 4WD with fully locked front diff. Long travel suspension keeps things comfortable when cruising fire-roads, while the enclosed axle-type swingarm offers the durability and stiffness required for heavy hauling. Generous cargo racks serve double duty, carrying work materials or personal gear and the high output alternator will be appreciated both for running electrical accessories and for keeping personal electronics charged. TRX500 Foreman ES EPS - split personality
EPS - Electric Power Steering - Reduces steering effort and also reduces handlebar kickback when wheels are deflected by obstacles, improving comfort and control.
ES (or ESP) - Electric Shift (Program) - A computer-controlled manual transmission with automatic clutch that is shifted via handlebar-mounted buttons. Simpler to use than conventional foot shift manuals, ESP is especially convenient when wearing heavy boots covered in snow or mud.
- Powerful liquid-cooled, 475 cc single-cylinder OHV four-stroke engine is longitudinally mounted allowing direct driveshaft alignment to both front and rear wheels for maximum drivetrain efficiency.
